After thousands of interviews with candidates over the last few years during this current job market depression (worst I've seen in my 25 years of recruiting, speaking, and consulting), I've come to stark realization that most job seekers HAVE NO CLUE how to conduct an effective job search in this digital age.
The most common responses I hear from executive and managerial job seekers is "I'm waiting for the recruiter to call me" or "I'm applying to positions listed on the job boards".
