This is really a good article. I’ve been an IT Recruiter for 32 years and I can pretty much agree with ever point, with perhaps the exception of geography. In a normal economy, people don’t make dramatic geography changes. Our present econonmy has brought a lot of people to the point of ruin, and people are now moving because they have to!
The bottom line is that when you send a resume out in response to a Job Ad that displays the need for qualifications that you don’t have, you’re not going to get the desired response! It’s what a headhunter calls, an “employer’s market”, meaning that there are so many people available that the employer will find exactly what they are looking for!

You are the first recruiter that I know, not to say there aren’t others, longer in search than me. This September I hit 30 years. Time flies. Not many last this long. Thanks for the comment. I couldn’t agree more with what you said.
